About Preston

Preston I.A.D. Parsons is a partner at Overholt Law LLP with more than 13 years of practice in labour relations law, employment law, civil litigation, privacy law, and human rights law, advising both employers and employees. He has appeared before the BC Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court and Provincial Court of BC, the BC Labour Relations Board, the BC Human Rights Tribunal, the Social Security Tribunal, and various professional regulatory bodies, and has handled domestic, international, and federal labour arbitration proceedings. He also advises professionals facing investigations and disciplinary proceedings before their regulatory bodies, including a successful appeal of disciplinary findings against a nurse in Whieldon v. British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives, 2021 BCSC 1648. Parsons earned his Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Law in 2010, where he was Class Valedictorian, and a Bachelor of Commerce with great distinction from Athabasca University in 2007. He was called to the British Columbia bar in 2011 and is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association.
