About James

James Buckley was called to the bar in 1996 and has been with Slater Vecchio since the firm's founding in 1998, becoming a partner in 2007. He was inducted as a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers in 2025. His trial practice covers a wide range of personal injury matters, including cases involving severe injuries and traumatic brain injuries, and he devotes significant time to cases involving injury and trauma suffered by children. He has chaired and lectured at seminars for the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia and Continuing Legal Education BC, and is a founding board member of the Team Finn Foundation, a pediatric cancer fundraising and advocacy group.
