About Peter

Peter Madorin practices in association with Amaral Mendes LLP and has spent more than 58 years working as a civil litigator, acting for both plaintiffs and defendants. He has regularly appeared before Ontario's Superior Court of Justice and Divisional Court, as well as the province's Court of Appeal and a number of administrative tribunals. His work is limited to environmental law, employment law, real estate litigation, personal injury claims, insurance defence, and corporate and commercial disputes, and within insurance defence he concentrates on representing insurers and defending municipalities, professionals, hospitals and property owners against claims. Peter studied law at Dalhousie University, was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1964, and spent nearly six decades at the firm now known as Madorin, Snyder LLP, joining as an associate before becoming a partner in 1966. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1979 and was certified as a Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1988. He has been included in Best Lawyers in Canada for Kitchener and recognized in the Legal Lexpert Dictionary as an insurance law practitioner.
