About Peter

Peter James has practiced law since 1973, beginning at a respected downtown Toronto firm before starting his own practice four years later. His work centers on real estate, corporate and commercial matters, and estate planning and administration. His matters have included share and asset purchase deals, commercial leasing arrangements, real estate development and financing work, and setting up professional practices for dentists, doctors, and accountants. He also sits on the boards of several investment and management corporations held by European and other offshore interests, taking an active role in managing them. Peter serves as general counsel for a number of private clients, families and corporations alike, guiding them through everyday personal and business matters. He earned his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1971 and was called to the Ontario bar in 1973.
