About Christine
Christine Ashton splits her practice between labour and employment law and tax litigation. On the employment side, she represents unionized and non-unionized employers on matters ranging from hiring and discipline to workplace health and safety, human rights, and termination, and she has acted as lead negotiator in collective bargaining and in grievance and arbitration matters. She also handles employment contracts, workplace policies, investigations, and training. Before joining Wilson Vukelich, she articled with the Ontario Ministry of Labour. In her tax litigation practice, Christine represents individuals and corporations in disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency, appearing at the objection stage, before the Tax Court of Canada, and on judicial review applications before the Federal Court. She earned her BA from the University of Ottawa in 2005 and her law degree from Osgoode Hall in 2008, and was called to the bar in Ontario in 2009.
