Indigenous LawPerry Robinson is Senior Counsel at Maurice Law, drawing on nearly 40 years in practice. After time in private practice, he moved to Canada's Department of Justice and later to what is now Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs of Canada, where from 1997 to 2017 his work centered on reviewing and negotiating claims under the Specific Claims Policy, including appearances for Canada before the Indian Specific Claims Commission. Between 2014 and 2017 he served as Senior Counsel at the Aboriginal Law Center, working in Treaty and fiduciary law. He joined Maurice Law in 2020 and now applies that experience to representing First Nations in Specific Claims.
