Peter Martin is a former judge of the Alberta Court of Appeal and an experienced mediator whose legal career spans decades. He was appointed to the Court of Queen's Bench in 1998 and elevated to the Court of Appeal in 2005, retiring from the bench in 2024. He served as a Bencher of the Law Society of Alberta from 1988 to 1996 and was elected its President in 1995. He became a leading advocate for judicial mediation and Judicial Dispute Resolution and has presented more than 50 times for the National Judicial Institute. He was retained by the Saskatchewan government to review its Prosecution Service and by Alberta Justice in 2024 to review the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team.
