Paula Clancy is a partner and trademark agent in the firm's Ottawa office, a member of the Intellectual Property Group focusing on trademarks. She is a certified specialist in IP (Trademarks) by the Law Society of Ontario and has over 30 years of experience as a corporate and trademark lawyer. She is Vice President of AIPPI (Canada) and a former President of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. She has been ranked for 16 consecutive years as one of the world's top IP lawyers in World Trademark Review's WTR1000 and recognized in Lexpert's Leading 500 Cross-Border Lawyers, The Legal 500 Canada, The Best Lawyers in Canada, and Who's Who Legal: IP. Before re-joining Gowling WLG, she founded and operated a boutique intellectual property firm that was ranked in the WTR1000 and certified as a Women Business Enterprise.
