About Paul
Paul R. Bennett is a senior partner at Bennett Mounteer LLP with over 20 years of commercial litigation experience, including appearances before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the B.C. Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as complex commercial arbitrations. He has been recognized repeatedly as one of Canada's leading class action litigation lawyers, having acted as senior counsel in a number of precedent-setting cases, including one of the first class actions to be successfully determined on its merits in British Columbia. Beyond class proceedings, he has handled a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including partnership disputes, pension litigation, professional negligence, and administrative law. He holds a B.A. from Simon Fraser University (1978), an M.Phil. from the University of Cambridge (1979), an LL.B. from the University of Toronto (1982), and an LL.M. from Harvard University (1983). He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1988, and also holds bar admissions in Alberta and Manitoba (2013). Best Lawyers named him the 2010 Class Action Lawyer of the Year for Vancouver.
