Mark W. Mounteer

About Mark

Mark W. Mounteer is the managing partner of Bennett Mounteer LLP. His litigation experience spans every level of court in British Columbia, and his advocacy work includes serving as counsel in a range of domestic and international arbitration matters. Although his practice centers mainly on pursuing and defending Class Proceedings Act claims, he also takes on assorted commercial litigation work such as pension disputes, negligence claims against professionals and directors, disagreements between shareholders and partners, and product liability matters. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario (1999), an LL.B. from the University of Windsor (2002), an LL.M. and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Arbitration from the University of London (2007), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics and an M.A. in Competition Law Econometrics from King's College London (2018 and 2019). He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2003, and also holds bar admissions in Alberta and Manitoba (2013). He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and previously chaired the Class Action Section of the Canadian Bar Association.
