About Paul

Paul Harricks is counsel in the firm's Toronto office focusing on the energy, nuclear, infrastructure and data centre sectors. He has been deeply immersed in the Canadian and global energy sector for over 25 years. From 2019 to 2023, he served as executive vice-president and chief legal officer of Hydro One Limited, Ontario's largest electric utility. He previously led the Energy Group at Gowling WLG from 2010 and led the firm's Infrastructure Group. He was also head of the firm's Toronto Business Law Department. He has completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program and served on various boards of public and private companies, not-for-profits and charities. He is the inaugural chair and a member of the Toronto Region Board of Trade's Energy Transition Committee.
