About Paul

Paul Cahill is a Certified Specialist in Civil Litigation, a designation awarded by the Law Society of Ontario. His trial record includes an $11.5 million judgment in a medical malpractice case that caused cerebral palsy and a judgment against an emergency room physician whose negligent care led to the death of a young mother. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for medical negligence and personal injury litigation since 2021. Paul served as a director of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association from 2020 to 2023 and previously chaired its Medical Malpractice Section. On some files he acts as trial counsel supporting other lawyers who handle medical malpractice and serious injury claims. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2005, and his practice is built around medical malpractice and personal injury work.
