About Paul

Paul is the managing partner of Prowse Barrette LLP and a senior partner focused on expropriation law, defending landowners' property rights when land is taken by government or industry, and acting in land compensation and surface rights cases. He also practises commercial litigation involving property rights, trespass, and contested ownership. He has achieved several precedent-setting decisions before the Land and Property Rights Tribunal, including cases establishing ownership rights, securing relocation damages for businesses, and winning compensation for loss in value to land remaining after a taking. He has twice served as president of the Alberta Expropriation Association and sits on the municipal law section board of the Canadian Bar Association.
