Patrick Fitzgerald is a Partner in Cox & Palmer's Halifax office, admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1998. He holds a B.Comm. from Saint Mary's University (1990), an M.B.A. from the University of Windsor (1991), an LL.B. from Dalhousie Law School (1997) and an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors (2023). His practice focuses on corporate and technology transactions, including financings, mergers and acquisitions, private equity deals and securities matters, and he has advised on intellectual property, technology, data privacy and cybersecurity issues including breach response. He is a Registered Trade-mark Agent and has been involved in Nova Scotia's start-up community, supporting incubators, accelerator programs and pro-bono advice to early-stage companies.
