About Patrick

Patrick Burgess has practiced as a Partner at international law firms, served as Vice President of Legal at a privately owned oil and gas producer, and founded his own boutique energy-law practice. Across these roles he has led the drafting of documentation for mergers and acquisitions, corporate and asset purchases, private equity financings, and regulatory filings, including several asset acquisitions completed for Blue Sky Resources Ltd. between 2019 and 2024. He has represented a range of mostly private energy producers, from small to large, in their M&A activity and day-to-day operations.
