Patricia is a senior family law lawyer who has practised in Calgary for 25 years, focusing on parenting, support and property division issues through mediation and collaborative law rather than litigation where possible. She is a trained mediator and registered collaborative law lawyer, and has worked on high-income, complex property division and support files. Her volunteer work includes Calgary Legal Guidance, the Calgary Women's Centre Family Law Legal Clinic and mentoring junior and racialized women lawyers. She received the Women in Law Leadership in the Profession Private Practice Award in 2017, was granted a Q.C./K.C. designation in 2020, and received the 2021 Lillian Ruby Clements Trailblazer Award and a 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Black Law Students' Association of Canada.
