Barrister & Solicitor, Collaborative Lawyer at Daunais McKay & Harms
Erika discovered her interest in family law as a summer law student with Alberta Justice. Originally from Montreal, she holds two law degrees in civil law and common law from McGill University and a business degree from the John Molson School of Business. She began practising family law in 2007 and has significant trial and hearing experience in Calgary and Edmonton, covering divorce, parenting, support, matrimonial property and child protection matters. After finding that litigation costs and stress weighed heavily on clients, she trained in mediation and collaborative law and has been a Registered Collaborative Family Lawyer since 2018. She volunteers with the Elizabeth Fry Women's Institution Legal Clinic and several collaborative and mediation associations.
