About Oliver

Oliver MacLaren is a partner at OKT who heads the team focused on business and economic development matters for the firm. Oliver works with First Nations and their businesses across Canada on economic development initiatives, such as on-reserve ventures, strategic investments, and opportunities tied to impact benefit agreements in the natural resources sector. That transactional work also covers Indigenous partnerships in renewable energy and electricity, spanning wind, solar, and hydro projects as well as transmission infrastructure, with a focus on equity partnerships, Indigenous corporate finance, and structuring the governance of Indigenous-owned businesses.
