About Nora Sleeth

Separation, divorce, parenting arrangements and the division of property are the problems Nora Sleeth helps families work through. Sleeth is a lawyer in SV Law's Family Law Practice Group, working from the Elora office, and family files take in both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice.

Getting to know new clients is a part of the work Sleeth really enjoys, along with taking the time to understand what each person wants out of the process and guiding them through hard moments. Sleeth takes pride in being honest, approachable and focused on resolution, and has trained in Collaborative Family Law, the out-of-court model behind the Speed River Collaborative, where Sleeth is a member.

Called to the Ontario bar in 2014, Sleeth practised in St. Marys before coming to SV Law, and has also presented the Family Law Information Program at the Guelph Courthouse. Sleeth's writing for the firm includes an October 2025 piece answering a question separated parents raise every fall: who pays for the kids' Halloween costumes?

Sleeth grew up in the GTA and now lives in Fergus. Running's been a constant for years, and Sleeth's a proud ultramarathoner who's happiest flying down a mountain with music blasting. Camping, hiking, travel and two troublemaker cats round out the time away from the office, and Sleeth has given time to Up and Running Guelph and the Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington.
