About Nicola
Nicola Savin is a partner practicing family law and estate litigation, with a focus on settlement and the best interests of children. She draws on more than 25 years of experience in negotiation and mediation to help clients avoid the cost and conflict of prolonged court battles. Nicola is past president of both the Ontario Collaborative Law Federation and Collaborative Practice Toronto, and taught as a guest instructor at Osgoode Hall Law School's trial advocacy course and its Masters of Law program in family law and alternative dispute resolution. In May 2019 she became the first collaborative professional to earn accreditation as an Advanced Collaborative Professional from the OCLF, and the same year received the organization's James C. MacDonald Award for her contributions to collaborative practice in Ontario. She holds an LL.B. (1987) and B.A. (1984) from the University of Western Ontario and was called to the bar in 1989.
