Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionNeil Colville-Reeves practises general commercial, estates, and insurance litigation, and has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, and the License Appeal Tribunal. He manages a large subrogation practice covering matters such as construction and engineer liability, oil spills, fire and flooding losses, and product failures, and also defends insurer clients in first-party and liability claims. He has represented clients in partnership and shareholder disputes and negotiated agreements for private road associations, and in recent years has focused on assisting clients facing mortgage enforcement proceedings. Before practising law, he spent two years in the securities industry doing corporate finance for an investment management and merchant banking firm. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts in history, received his law degree from the University of British Columbia, and earned an MBA from the University of Toronto. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1994.
