About Shawn

Shawn Richarz was born in Vancouver and raised in Ontario. He earned his Honours Bachelor of Arts at McMaster University and his LL.B. at the University of British Columbia, and was admitted to the Ontario bar in 1994. He articled with an insurance defence firm in Hamilton and began his career practising insurance defence, before shifting since 1996 to focus primarily on family law, real property, and wills and estates. He has extensive experience with residential and commercial real estate transactions, refinancing, and land use agreements, and has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario. Shawn is a past president of the Haldimand Law Association.
