Insurance LawNancy's clients include developers, print and broadcast media, insurers, and electricity consumers and renewable energy generators, and she has appeared before the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, and the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board. Her practice includes administrative tribunal work on land use planning and utility rate hearings, pre-publication and privacy advice, and litigation involving defamation, access to court records, and publication bans. She also handles commercial litigation matters involving professional liability, breach of contract, and insurance claims. Nancy earned her LLB (magna cum laude) from the University of Ottawa in 1991 and a BSc from Dalhousie University in 1987. She was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 1992 and holds the King's Counsel designation, awarded in 2012. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a past president of the Canadian Media Lawyers Association/Ad IDEM.
