About Maggie

Maggie Hughes is an Associate in Cox & Palmer's Charlottetown office, whose practice focuses on administrative law as well as labour and employment matters. She works with a diverse range of clients, including insurers, employers, professionals, municipalities, and individuals, and has appeared before various courts and tribunals across Prince Edward Island. Her experience includes defending clients in regulatory proceedings, responding to human rights complaints, representing parties in civil litigation, advising on workplace issues, and drafting employment agreements, workplace policies, and municipal bylaws. She earned her law degree from the University of New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-operative) from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2017, and was called to the Prince Edward Island Bar in 2021.
