About Nancy

Nancy Hopkins is counsel at McDougall Gauley LLP in Saskatoon, a business lawyer focused on mergers and acquisitions, complex contracts, and corporate governance for public companies, private equity firms, and strategic buyers. She has served on the boards of Cameco Corporation, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, and the University of Saskatchewan's Board of Governors, among many others, and was a public director of CPA Canada. Nancy has been named among Best Lawyers in Canada for tax law and intellectual property law and was recognized as one of Canada's 100 most powerful women by the Women's Executive Network in 2013. She holds an ICD.D designation from the Rotman School of Business and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1992. Nancy earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan in 1977 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1978, and was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 1979.
