About Nancy

Nancy G. Rideout is a partner at Weldon McInnis whose practice is primarily dedicated to family law, including divorce, custody, spousal support, and collaborative family law matters, along with wills, powers of attorney, and estate administration. A native of Dartmouth, she earned a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Saint Vincent University in 1978 and a Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University in 1981, and was admitted to the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society that December. Nancy has practised in several capacities over her career, including as Assistant Secretary Treasurer of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society, Crown Counsel, and corporate in-house counsel. She is a member of the Nova Scotia Association of Collaborative Family Law Professionals and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and sits on the executive committee of the Lawyer Assistance Program.
