About David

David R. Melvin is a partner at Weldon McInnis practising real estate, wills and estates, and corporate and commercial law. He grew up in Dartmouth and earned an Honours undergraduate degree in Political Science and History at Dalhousie University before completing a combined Bachelor of Laws and Master of Public Administration there. David was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2005, has practised in downtown Dartmouth since, and joined Weldon McInnis in 2019. He has considerable experience with European clients who own holiday homes and businesses in Nova Scotia. David has served on several agencies, boards, and commissions, including the Nova Scotia Real Estate Commission and the Halifax Regional Water Commission.
