About Kate

Kate Naugler is a litigator and family law lawyer at Patterson Law's Bridgewater office. After a student clerkship with the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, she articled in Toronto and was called to the Ontario bar in 2018, practising insurance defence and civil litigation before returning to Nova Scotia in 2020. Her family law practice covers separation, divorce, custody, child and spousal support, parenting time, and property division, and she regularly represents the guardian ad litem in child protection proceedings. Naugler has argued contested motions before the Ontario Superior Court and appeared before several Ontario tribunals as well as the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia and its Family Division, where she also sits on the Judicial Liaison Committee for the Western Region. She earned her J.D. from the University of New Brunswick in 2017 and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2020.
