About Murray

Murray Sawatzky is a partner at McDougall Gauley LLP in Regina, practising litigation and arbitration in commercial, construction, environmental, and debtor-creditor matters, with a particular focus on complex construction dispute resolution. He represents project owners, construction companies, engineers, and bonding companies, and his experience extends to the Supreme Court of Canada. Murray was inducted as a Fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers in 2010 and served as President of the Saskatchewan Branch of the Canadian Bar Association from 2008 to 2009. He has repeatedly been named Lawyer of the Year for Construction Law in Regina and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2008. Murray earned a Bachelor of Arts with distinction and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan, in 1981 and 1985, and was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 1986.
