About Adam

Adam Stephens chairs the Disputes group at Miller Thomson and sits on the firm's Executive Committee, practising as a commercial litigator in areas such as shareholder disputes, contract disagreements, and real property matters. He advises clients across industries including automotive, life sciences, real estate, and insurance, and regularly speaks and writes on litigation skills, contractual obligations, and leasing duties. Adam earned his B.A. from McGill University and his LL.B. from Dalhousie University in 2001, and he was called to the Ontario bar in 2002. He belongs to the Advocates' Society, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association, and is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. Notable matters include successfully defending the City of Brampton's position in Inzola Group Limited v Brampton (City) at the Court of Appeal and acting for the city in a related RFP dispute. He practises out of Miller Thomson's Toronto and Waterloo Region offices.
