About Michael

Michael has spent more than 30 years advocating for people accused of serious crimes. He began as an articling student for Alan D. Gold and Madame Justice Fuerst before opening his own firm, where he built experience as a criminal defence lawyer appearing at all levels of court. His practice now centers on sexual assault, domestic assault, child pornography, and professional disciplinary matters, and he was later invited to join Neuberger & Partners LLP as a partner by his longtime friend Joseph Neuberger. Michael earned a BA in English and criminology from the University of Toronto, an LLB from Western University in 1991, and a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1993.
