About Michael

Michael James Ruhl focuses his practice on family law at SV Law, handling difficult custody and access matters through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation when needed. He also assists clients with employment law issues such as terminations and wrongful dismissal, and prepares wills and powers of attorney. Michael represents clients in the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice, drawing on years of advocacy experience. He completed a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering at the University of Toronto in 2003, then earned his LL.B. from the University of British Columbia in 2007. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2008 and in Ontario in 2010, and serves as Treasurer of the Wellington Law Association.
