About Patrick
Patrick MacMillan is an associate at MFC Lawyers. Raised in Hamilton/Dundas, Ontario, he earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University and his law degree from Western University. He articled at a full-service firm in Hamilton, developing a focus on family law alongside Small Claims Court work, then ran his own family law firm in Dundas for three years, arguing matters in the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice and winning an appeal at the Divisional Court. He later spent nearly a decade practising family law in the Halifax area, appearing across most of Nova Scotia's jurisdictions and handling appeals before the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal. Patrick returned to practise in Ontario in 2020 and continues to focus on family law, handling matters ranging from amicable separation agreements to contentious litigation.
