Michael Hwang was called to the British Columbia bar in 1990 and has more than 35 years of experience advising on complex, multi-jurisdictional business matters, including business formation, growth, restructuring, succession planning, U.S. Chapter 11 proceedings, trade disputes, and international expansion. He is one of the few senior lawyers in Western Canada able to advise Korean-speaking clients directly and has worked on Indigenous reconciliation and partnership structuring. He chaired British Columbia's Small Business Task Force in 2018, received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal, and was named Businessperson of the Year by the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce.
