Saira Bhojani is a partner at Torys LLP and co-heads the firm's Toronto tax group. Her practice covers the tax side of mergers and acquisitions, private equity deals, corporate reorganizations, securitizations and debt and equity offerings. She also advises institutional investors and private equity funds on tax questions tied to fund formation and portfolio investments, and regularly counsels Canadian pension plans including OMERS, OPTrust, Ontario Teachers' and IMCO on their fund investments. Before joining Torys, Bhojani worked in public accounting, tax and audit at a major accounting firm. She has completed Parts I and II of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and does pro bono work with Right To Play International.
