About Michael

Michael Kay is senior counsel who joined the firm in 1970, a year after his admission to the Bar of Québec. He is fluently bilingual and has practised in both languages throughout his career. Kay has focused on litigation since the start of his practice, specializing in insurance and professional liability and bodily and personal injury matters. He has represented individual clients in bodily injury claims, malpractice disputes and disagreements with insurers, and has also represented major insurance companies pursuing subrogation claims and defending liability and coverage matters. Since its inception, the Québec Bar's Lawyers' Professional Liability Fund has retained Kay to defend the interests of lawyers facing claims, and he has lectured regularly in the Bar of Québec's continuing education program.
