About Melissa
Melissa Oakley founded her family law practice in 2016, the first lawyer in her family. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2013 and later completed a Master of Business Administration there in 2023. Her practice covers alternative dispute resolution and litigation across Alberta's courts. She has been recognized as a 'Lawyer to Watch' in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, has taught business law at the University of Calgary, and mentors law students through several organizations, including a monthly mentorship initiative she founded called Talk Tuesday. She also serves on the board of Legal Aid Alberta and other justice-focused organizations.
