About Melissa
Melissa L. Stappler was called to the Alberta Bar in 2004, after earning her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta in 2003. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in English from the University of Lethbridge, earned in 2000. Before joining Willis Law, she represented Indigenous clients pursuing claims for damages suffered at church- and government-run Indian residential schools, working with adjudicators and government representatives to reach resolutions. Her practice focuses on breaking down condominium law issues into plain language, particularly around insurance and financing, and she has completed arbitrator training and holds the Q.Arb designation from the ADR Institute of Canada.
