About Hugh
Hugh Willis was called to the Alberta bar in 2005, after graduating from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2004. He earlier completed an undergraduate degree in the Applied Energy program at the University of Calgary's Department of Economics in 2000, graduating with Dean's List standing. His practice addresses condominium bylaws, complex insurance matters including disasters, condominium terminations, and general condominium advice. Willis is active with the Canadian Bar Association and the Legal Education Society, regularly presenting seminars on condominium law topics for organizations including the Canadian Condominium Institute, and has appeared before the Alberta Court of Appeal, the Court of Queen's Bench, the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Immigration and Refugee Board, and the Immigration Appeal Division. He was selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers for commercial litigation for six consecutive years through 2026.
