About Shawna

Shawna Shechosky was born and raised in Edmonton. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at MacEwan University with several awards and scholarships, then earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2021. During law school she volunteered with the SAGE Wills Project and Student Legal Services, appearing in Provincial Court on contested matters, conducting a family judicial dispute resolution, and drafting materials for a residential tenancy dispute hearing. In her final year she worked at a contingency-based personal injury firm and settled several claims. Outside the office, Shawna teaches competitive dance and enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends.
