About Melanie
Melanie Young is a partner at MacGillivray Law who splits her time between New Glasgow, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. She has represented clients before the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia. Originally from Prince Edward Island, she earned her B.A. from the University of Prince Edward Island, an M.A. from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University, and her LL.B. (Dean's List) from the University of New Brunswick. She is a member of the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, and the Pictou County Barristers' Society, and volunteers with A.G. Baillie School and Pictou County Minor Hockey. She was called to the bar in Prince Edward Island and in Alberta in 2007, and in Nova Scotia in 2011.
