About Aqeel

Aqeel Yousafzai is an associate at MacGillivray Law in Halifax. He joined the firm as a case manager in February 2022, completed his NCA Certificate of Qualification later that year, and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in June 2023. Before coming to Canada, he practiced law in Pakistan starting in 2016, focusing on criminal, civil, constitutional, and human rights matters. He holds a BA-LLB (Honors) from the Lahore University of Management Sciences and an LL.M. in Human Rights Law from Central European University in Budapest. He's fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and Pashto, and belongs to the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society and the Canadian Muslim Lawyers Association.
