About Angeli
Angeli Swinamer is the managing partner at MacGillivray Law and oversees the firm's intake team. Originally from the Philippines, she was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2010 and practiced law in Davao City before joining MacGillivray Law in 2011 as a research analyst and intake specialist, completing her articles in 2016. She has represented clients before the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal. She holds a J.D. from the University of Philippines College of Law and a B.A. in Journalism, magna cum laude, from the same university, along with an accreditation certificate from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. She was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2017 and is a member of the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society, and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers' Atlantic Chapter.
