About Meaghan

Meaghan Coker is an Associate at Whelton Hiutin LLP practising civil and commercial litigation, appeals, medical malpractice and personal injury. She represents clients in disputes touching contracts, employment, real estate and estates, and acts for victims of serious injuries in personal injury and medical malpractice files. She has argued before the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal and appeared at various tribunals, with experience running appeals and motions. She graduated from the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law with a JD Cum Laude in 2021, competing in the Harold G. Fox and Oxford International intellectual property moots along the way. Before law school she worked in policy roles across government, non-profit and private sectors, including four years advising Ontario government ministers on Community and Social Services and Energy files, and she holds an MPP from the University of Toronto and dual degrees from Western University.
