Employment & Labour LawDaniel McConville is a partner at Whelton Hiutin LLP and an experienced trial and arbitration lawyer who takes a pragmatic, business-focused approach to commercial and civil disputes. He is regularly retained on matters involving real estate transactions, shareholder and partnership disputes, estates, commercial leasing, and fraud, and has also handled government procurement disputes, the seizure of state assets, product liability claims, and class actions. Recent work includes securing Mareva injunctions in high-value fraud cases, voiding a signed release for unconscionability, and obtaining relief from forfeiture of a deposit on a property purchase agreement. Daniel earned his LL.B. cum laude from the University of Ottawa's law school in 2008 and a B.A. from Dartmouth College in 2003, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2008. He belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and The Advocates' Society, and was formerly a Division 1 NCAA lightweight rower.
