About Maxwell

Maxwell Silverman joined Grey Casgrain after nearly a decade of community-based private practice, focusing on litigation for social justice, non-profit governance, employment law and human rights. He is a member of the part-time faculty at Concordia University, teaching in the departments of Political Science and Management, and has given workshops on topics including civil procedure, prisoners' rights, medical cannabis reimbursement, and gender marker changes. Originally from Ontario, he later mastered French and holds a BA with great distinction from McGill University and an LLB from UQAM, where he won the Prix Éditions Yvon-Blais for academic performance. He is a member of the Quebec Bar and the National Victims of Crime Bar Association (USA), and co-authored a 2019 book chapter on law and psychiatry with a University of Ottawa professor.
