About Matthew
Matthew Ackerman graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2021 after completing an undergraduate degree in Criminology with distinction. He completed his articles under defence lawyer Peter J. Royal, K.C., before joining Bottos Law Group. During law school he volunteered extensively with Student Legal Services of Edmonton, serving as a dayleader and later as Coordinator of its Criminal Law Project, for which he received the Class of 1971 award. His practice focuses on criminal charges including impaired driving, assault, drug offences, and youth criminal justice matters.
