About Jacqueline

Jacqueline Petrie graduated with a law degree from the University of British Columbia in 1990 and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1994. She articled at and worked as a litigation associate for a Vancouver insurance defence firm before returning to Alberta, where she practiced bankruptcy, insolvency, and foreclosure law and provided pro bono representation before the Court of Queen's Bench. In 1996 she started a legal research and opinion consultancy working with civil and criminal lawyers on contracted projects, and has since worked on corporate commercial disputes, personal injury settlements, and criminal matters up to the Supreme Court of Canada. Jacqueline joined Bottos Law Group as Associate Legal Counsel in 2016 and previously served on the Health Disciplines Board of the Government of Alberta.
