About Austin
Austin Corbett is a criminal defence lawyer licensed to practice in Alberta and the Northwest Territories, and he also represents clients in British Columbia, Ontario, and Saskatchewan. He graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, where he focused on criminal law and the law of evidence, and joined Bottos Law Group in August 2015 after articling at another firm. Austin has appeared in the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Court of King's Bench, the Northwest Territories courts, the Ontario Court of Justice, the British Columbia Provincial Court, the Court of Appeal of Alberta, and the Supreme Court of Canada. He concentrates on the defence of sexual offence and child pornography charges, young offenders, and members of the Canadian Armed Forces, and sits on the Law Society of Alberta's Legal Aid Youth Panel and Major Crimes Panel. He co-teaches Sentencing at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law and received the Criminal Trial Lawyers Association's 'Top Gunn' award in 2019.
