About Matthew

Matthew A. Johnstone began his career at Sullivan Festeryga in 2010 and became a partner in 2018. His litigation practice spans insurance defence, plaintiff personal injury, employment law, and criminal law, where he also serves as a per diem Crown Attorney. He regularly appears before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and tribunals such as the License Appeal Tribunal. Matt completed a BA with Honours in Political Science at McMaster University in 2007 before earning his LLB from the University of Windsor in 2010. He is active in the Hamilton legal community as President of the Hamilton Lawyers' Club and sits on the Hamilton Law Association's CPD committee.
